'83 Jaguar

1983 Jaguar XJS Coupe,  has only 51,000 original miles, we are building it for Paul from Kaneohe:    It will have a new crate LS3 GM Performance motor with a L470E overdrive transmission.   Billie's done a lot of LS3, but not in a Jag, so not sure how much time this will take.   Every electrical wire, vacuum hoses, and metal lines with fittings has to be mark when taking the Jag motor out to make room for the LS3.   How much of the original lines, wiring that he can reuse with the new LS3, only time will tell.   We will replace the radiator, a/c system, etc. but not sure what will fit until the motor finally gets put in.

STREET AND PERFORMANCE IS MAKING UP THE COMPUTER AND WIRING FOR, SO BILLIE IS GOING TO START LABELING ON THE DIFFERENT HOSES, HARD LINES AND ELECTRICAL ITEMS,   WHICH SHOULD TAKE QUITE AWHILE. HERE ARE THE CORVETTE LS3 MOTOR FROM GM PERFORMANCE AND THE L470E TRANSMISSION FROM STREET AND PERFORMANCE.

BILLIE'S STILL REMOVING WIRING, FUEL LINES, ETC.  HAD TO PUT IT ON THE LIFT TO GET AT MORE OF IT UNDER THE CAR, REMOVED THE EXHAUST, AND HOPEFULLY WILL BE READY TO REMOVE THE MOTOR IN A DAY OR TWO.    THE MOTOR IS SO TIGHT TO THE FIREWALL, IT LOOKS LIKE THE MOTOR WILL HAVE TO COME OUT WITHOUT THE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE OF THE CLEARANCE PROBLEM.
